Keyword Nutrition for YouTube is a Chrome extension that checks every video title against your own allowed keywords. Anything that does not match gets blurred, covered, or hidden — on the home feed, in search, on Shorts, and on the video player itself.
How it works
1. Add your keywords
Type the topics you want to allow, for example "physics" or "python". Everything else is treated as a distraction.
2. Set your schedule
Choose the hours and days when filtering should stay active, or start a one-off focus timer.
3. Browse normally
Non-matching videos are blocked with your chosen style — blur, hide, colour cover, or a full page block.
4. Reveal on purpose
If you really need a blocked video, you unlock it with a small deliberate step: a long press, a PIN, a maths problem, or a typed code.
Price
Free. The whole extension, every feature, no accounts, no credits, no subscription, no upsell. There is nothing to buy.
If you switch on AI filtering you bring your own API key from the provider you pick, and you pay that provider directly according to their pricing. Several of them have a free tier, and Chrome's built-in on-device model costs nothing at all. No money passes through us either way.
What this extension does not do
It is a focus aid, not a lock. You can always disable or remove the extension from your browser's extensions page. Nothing here prevents that, and we do not claim otherwise.
